William Thomas Durham 66, passed away on February 26, 2026. ‘Tommy’ was born October 29, 1959 in Long Beach, CA to Margaret Alice (Courtney) and Clarence Willard Durham.

Tommy was a father, pawpaw, partner, brother, uncle, cousin, and a friend to everyone. To meet him was a forever memorable experience. Tommy was born in California but as a teenager moved to Georgia. He graduated from Rossville High School. Tommy was a man of the Catholic faith and a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus. He was part of the Greater Chattanooga Dart Association #385. He moved back to California and lived in Auburn, CA.

Tommy loved to brighten up your day with a story, a joke, a movie quote, or a memory. He loved to tell you how to make the perfect glass of sweet tea, tell you nothing is better than a good biscuit and gravy, and that sitting on his back porch watching his birds and squirrel friends come up to his feeders could bring you such peace. Tommy loved his family and was always calling to check in.

William T. Durham is preceded in death by his parents Margaret Anderson and Clarence Durham, stepfather Willard ‘Andy’ Anderson, brother Frank D. Durham, both maternal grandparents Oscar and Laura Courtney, and paternal grandparents Frank and Fannie Durham.

Tommy is survived by his children from Chattanooga, TN Terra (Jay) Hicks, Christine (Nick) Smith, and Reece Durham. His grandchildren Joshua Hicks, Noah Smith, and Emily Hicks all of Chattanooga, TN. Courtney Pasch of Auburn, CA , Kyle Pasch of San Francisco, CA , and partner Carol Toomey of Auburn, CA. His surviving siblings are Clarence (Jana) Durham of Beaumont, CA, James (Cheri) Durham of Torrance, CA, David (Marilyn) Durham of Chattanooga, TN, and his sister Diane Chavez of Torrance, CA, also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tommy will be greatly missed by everyone that loved and knew him.
