William James Dangler

August 3, 1939 — June 28, 2020

William James Dangler was born in August 3, 1939 in East Chicago, Indiana to Elmer and Elizabeth Dangler. He was the youngest of 3 children. He had 2 older sisters, Rudy and Lucille. In 1947 the family moved to California. They settled in Lynwood where his father built their family home. Bill attended school in Lynwood and graduated from Lynwood High School in 1958. He attended Compton Community College after graduation. The family attended the First Southern Baptist Church in South Gate where he met the love of his life and future wife, Pearlie. He later worked at Byron Jackson Pump Company and the the Los Angeles Community College District as a machinist and taught at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. He retired in 2001 after 34 years with the District. He was a faithful church member and was an ordained deacon in the Southern Baptist Church. His priorities were God, his family and the church - in that order. He always put God first in everything he did. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, his daughters Michelle Dangler, and Kristen Do, his son-in-law Sang Do and his 4 grandchildren, Tanner and Kailey Brand, and Kyle and Connor Do. He was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed by all.
